About Anne-Sophie Cournoyer
Bio & Statement
Anne-Sophie Cournoyer (b.1991) is the artist behind Aethereal Moods. Mostly self-taught, she uses oil paint to evoke the otherworldly. She is known for her dreamlike, symbolic, and ethereal compositions and for her use of iridescent colour palettes. More recently, she has been exploring the tension between Nature and digital, between the archetypal and the technological, and pondering what the raw, embodied power of the Feminine means for Techno sapiens.
She grew up in Quebec City and set roots in the lush West Coast landscapes back in 2010. Today, she lives and works on the homelands of the Lekwungen people. Since 2022, she has enjoyed teaching oil painting and drawing classes in person and online.
